Year End Reflections!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season.  I can't believe it's over already!

I was asked last week to post a "New Years Blog," so to speak.  I started reflecting on 2019, though I could not really think of a succinct way to summarize the year until I was driving over the Ravenel Bridge and saw a billboard.

The ad was sponsored by an insurance company, which is interesting, but the whole sign is the following message: "GRATITUDE MAKES LIFE BETTER."  And that sums up my thoughts for the year.  I am so grateful for my family, my coworkers, and my patients.  While we all know the saying "don't sweat the small stuff," sometimes it's a hard message to live by as we go through our day.

But in 2019, I was reminded multiple times of the importance of gratitude and "not sweating the small stuff," especially when my husband was diagnosed with a form of ALS over the summer.

So as I start 2020 and the new decade, my New Years' Resolution is to remember every day that "GRATITUDE MAKES LIFE BETTER."

As I reflected on the last year, I also came up with a little list of winners and losers...

The "winner" list includes B12 injections (a great addition to the offerings in the Medispa), Juveau and Versa filler (exciting new products to compete with Botox and Juvederm), Coolsculpt and Vaser Liposuction (because they are both excellent technologies), and Breasts Lifts and Reductions (which are more popular than ever).

For the "loser" list I could only think of textured breast implants because of the FDA recall.

So cheers to all and let's make the next decade and even better "roaring 20's!"

'Til next time,

Dr. Heidi Williams
